DivX is a digital video format that was developed by DivX Networks Inc. The DivX file format has found application in order to store high-resolution video after these files are compressed to a certain percentage of their initial size. At the same time, there is no need to talk about quality loss. When certain codecs are used, the files have a resolution of up to 1080 pixels. Moreover, they are able to occupy disk space up to 1 GB. DIVX files are media containers. They use audio and video codecs in order to increase compression efficiency, as well as in order to play data enclosed in a file of this format. There are two types of codecs used. In order to play .divx files, you need a DivX decompressor. DivX decompressors are included in most kits and packages. Many major media players have their own DivX support. DivX video files are also played by many hardware players. The lion's share of multimedia players can recognize the DIVX file type and open correctly to play .divx files. Only occasionally do you have to change the extension to .avi.

F4V is a well-known flash video format developed by Adobe System. It is supported by Adobe Flash Player. Currently, approximately 80% of online videos are transmitted using Adobe Flash technology. Files with the F4V extension are called a container format. The F4V format, in comparison with other files of the FLV category, uses boxes to store information. In addition to devices with an operating system from Apple, these files can play almost all browsers that support flash video playback. F4V files resemble .FLV files, but use “blocks” to store data. Examples of blocks that are supported by the F4V format include meta block (metadata), moov block (file header), ftyp block (requested player tools), uda block (user data in free form), etc. The format container, in the development of which the ISO Media File Format was used, initially used the Quick Time Container Format from Apple. Compared to the old FLV format, the F4V format is fully compatible with the h.264 and ACC formats. This provides an opportunity to use other container formats.
