Upload a NEF camera RAW file and save it as TGA. The converter uses server-side image processing for quick RAW export to common raster formats.
NEF is a format for original, raw graphic files created by Nikon technology. Accordingly, the developer of the format is also the specified company. The name of the format is an abbreviation for Nikon Electronic Format. At the same time, NEF format files received by Nikon cameras of different models can have a different structure, so compatibility is not guaranteed. Nikon's graphic editors are geared towards supporting specific camera models. When creating a file, the data comes directly from the matrix. NEF files are of good quality and contain metadata, and therefore take up a lot of space.
TGA is a long-used raster graphic format. It was developed by Truevision Inc. (now Pinnacle Systems) back in 1984. It was initially used by the developer only for its own graphic adapters, but gradually gained popularity (primarily in the field of video processing and animation). Widely used in computer games, where it is used to store textures (including 3D video games). The name of the format comes from Targa Graphic. TGA files may partially contain image transparency information. They can become the main one for creating GIFs.
