The developer is Adobe Systems, and the name of the format is an abbreviation for Scalable Vector Graphics File. In the SVG format, not only two-dimensional vector images can be created, but also mixed vector-raster images. At the same time, SVG files are text files, and therefore they can be opened in most popular text editors. This extension is able to support both static and animated graphics. At the same time, when working with such files, editing occurs without loss of quality.
DCM is a special format for bitmap graphics that are used in medical equipment. This is also the format of communication lines. The development of this format was carried out by NEMA - the National Association of Electrical Equipment Manufacturers. This data reporting standard is owned by the International Electrical Manufacturers Association. The purpose of the DCM format, that is, DICOM Image File, is to receive and store in graphical form the results of the patient’s diagnostics - ultrasound studies, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging. The DICOM Image File file contains not only raster objects and expressions proper, but also information about a particular patient. This means that the DCM file is capable of containing personal information. Due to it, you can identify the patient and compare the image with a specific subject.
