Serial ventilation duct pressure-loss calculator Serial ventilation duct pressure-loss calculator

Quick start

Estimate losses along a round or rectangular duct path, compare section velocities, and separate air, shaft and motor input power.

  1. Enter airflow, density and equipment losses
  2. Add round or rectangular sections in flow order
  3. Calculate and export section losses and power stages

Serial ventilation duct pressure-loss calculator

Estimate losses along a round or rectangular duct path, compare section velocities, and separate air, shaft and motor input power.

One serial path with the same flow in every section: Δp = (Darcy factor × length / hydraulic diameter + ΣK) × density × velocity² / 2. Add filter and terminal losses once. Reserve applies to pressure.

Sections in flow order

A steady incompressible estimate, not a branched-network solver or certified design. Enter Darcy (not Fanning) factors and fitting coefficients for the actual geometry. Fan selection needs a manufacturer curve, noise checks and operating conditions.
