Before you start

Choose a readable audio recording and note its length. Fade ranges must fit inside the source.

Try with a demonstration file — audio.mp3

These small files were created for this guide and contain no personal data.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Choose the audio file and wait for the player and fade settings.
  2. Listen near the beginning and end to decide where the volume change should happen.
  3. Choose a volume-transition preset or set the time ranges for a gradual increase from silence and a gradual decrease to silence. Check the output format.
  4. Review any displayed charge and start processing. Wait for the new audio result.
  5. Listen to both ends of the result and save the version with the desired transition.

On a computer

Use the full-width working panel to compare the source, settings and result. Keep the original file so you can try another setting without replacing it.

On a phone

Choose the source from Files or your device file manager. Scroll down to the settings and result; keep this tab open until the operation finishes.

In Safari on iPhone, open the sharing menu and choose Save to Files if the result opens in a new tab. In Android Chrome, check Downloads. Keep this tab open until processing finishes.

For a better result

A short rise in volume preserves a sharp introduction; a longer reduction in volume suits a gentle ending. Compare both at the same playback volume.

Questions and troubleshooting

Why does the ending still sound abrupt?

Check that the fade-out ends at the intended point and covers enough of the final sound.

Can I use only fade-out?

Use the available controls to leave fade-in disabled or at its neutral setting, then configure the ending.

If you see a message that the service is overloaded, wait and try again later. A failed attempt does not mean that your source file has changed.
