Before you start

Choose an MP3 file and keep a backup. Music players do not all display the same metadata fields or artwork sizes.

Try with a demonstration file — audio.mp3

These small files were created for this guide and contain no personal data.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Choose the MP3 and wait for the available metadata fields.
  2. Edit the title, artist, album and other fields you need.
  3. If artwork is supported, choose a suitable image and inspect its preview.
  4. Use the save or export action to create an updated MP3 copy.
  5. Open the saved file in your player and verify the tags; refresh the player library if it shows cached information.

On a computer

Use the full-width working panel to compare the source, settings and result. Keep the original file so you can try another setting without replacing it.

On a phone

Choose the source from Files or your device file manager. Scroll down to the settings and result; keep this tab open until the operation finishes.

In Safari on iPhone, open the sharing menu and choose Save to Files if the result opens in a new tab. In Android Chrome, check Downloads. Keep this tab open until processing finishes.

For a better result

Use a reasonably small cover image. A very large picture increases the audio file size without improving playback quality.

Questions and troubleshooting

Does editing tags change the sound?

Metadata describes the recording; changing a title or artist is separate from audio processing.

Why does my player still show the old title?

It may cache metadata or display another tag field. Reopen the saved copy and refresh the library.

If you see a message that the service is overloaded, wait and try again later. A failed attempt does not mean that your source file has changed.
