Before you start

Keep the full recording. Make sure the desired ending is after the start and inside the source duration.

Try with a demonstration file — audio.mp3

These small files were created for this guide and contain no personal data.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Choose the audio file and wait for the player and trimming controls.
  2. Play the recording and set the start of the section you need.
  3. Set its end, check the selected interval, and choose the available output options.
  4. Review any displayed charge and start creating the trimmed audio.
  5. Listen to the result from beginning to end and save the new file without overwriting the original.

On a computer

Use the full-width working panel to compare the source, settings and result. Keep the original file so you can try another setting without replacing it.

On a phone

Choose the source from Files or your device file manager. Scroll down to the settings and result; keep this tab open until the operation finishes.

In Safari on iPhone, open the sharing menu and choose Save to Files if the result opens in a new tab. In Android Chrome, check Downloads. Keep this tab open until processing finishes.

For a better result

Leave a small margin around speech so that the first and last syllables are not cut off.

Questions and troubleshooting

Why is the selected interval rejected?

The start must precede the end, and very short or out-of-range intervals may be invalid.

Can I type an exact time?

Use the time fields shown by the editor. Check the displayed time format and preview the boundary afterward.

If you see a message that the service is overloaded, wait and try again later. A failed attempt does not mean that your source file has changed.
