Format support

The browser viewer supports uncompressed Little/Big Endian DICOM images and basic NIfTI files. If Transfer Syntax points to JPEG, JPEG 2000, RLE or another encapsulated pixel data format, the tool shows metadata and explains that a server-side decoder is required for pixels.

DICOM is used by CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound and other medical systems. This online viewer helps quickly check a file, image dimensions, Transfer Syntax, modality and technical tags without installing a PACS viewer.
