Format support

The browser viewer supports uncompressed Little/Big Endian DICOM images, .dcm/.dicom/.ima files, metadata-only DICOMDIR, NIfTI .nii/.nii.gz/.nifti/.nifti.gz, NRRD/NHDR .nrrd/.nrrd.gz/.nhdr with embedded raw/ascii/gzip data, and MetaImage .mha/.mhd when ElementDataFile is LOCAL. If Transfer Syntax points to JPEG, JPEG 2000, RLE or another encapsulated pixel data format, the tool shows metadata and explains that a server-side decoder is required for pixels. Detached NRRD data files and paired .mhd + .raw datasets need multi-file loading and are reported separately.

View DICOM and medical imaging files

DICOM is used by CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound and other medical systems, while NIfTI, NRRD and MetaImage are common in research, segmentation and 3D volume workflows. This online viewer helps quickly check a file, image dimensions, Transfer Syntax, modality and technical tags without installing a PACS viewer.

The tool is intended for technical inspection and file QA. It is not intended for medical diagnosis and does not replace dedicated software used by physicians or radiologists.
